Interned at a media company called AMG.Media around October 2019 for a few months, it was a temporary placement to learn the ins and outs of the business from project briefs, team communication and work distribution between colleagues.
I worked alongside a small team of freelance creatives and students as well as the CEO Poya Shohani who took us on during the internship. We were a team of 3-4 people within a small start up company, we helped to develop various projects particularly for architectural design.
AMG.Pod design for stadium

My first project was to finish designs for a stadium changing room, the CEO asked me to complete textures for said project and apply textures to the 3D model.

Used Substance Painter to create wooden and metal textures to apply to 3D model.

Custom images created and used to texture vending machine for 3D model of changing room.
AMG.Architectural Project (Newcastle)

During my time at AMG.Media we were tasked with a number of projects, one of those was to recreate one of the areas of Newcastle and I was tasked with developing my own textures to apply to the 3D model.

Used Adobe Photoshop to develop detailed texturing for the look of the 3D model of Newcastle, this was done using a common practice of UV texturing.

Collected images for texture references using free websites to download from and edit in Adobe Photoshop.
AMG.Architecture Design

At the beginning of my internship the CEO thought it would be a good idea for me to spend the first week or two practicing the very basics of 3D modelling for architectural design, this would mainly be during my personal time.

I would also seek advice and critique from the CEO and my team mates in order to see if maybe there was more I could add to my modelling skills as well as texture and rendering. The feedback given was very detailed and useful for my overall experience and allowed me to improve more on my rendering skills in Maya learning new tools like sky sphere and motion camera.
